IBC – Social identity, subjective well-being and human behaviour

I have been awarded an FPU grant for the training of university professors by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport at the Institute for Advanced Social Studies – National Research Council (IESA-CSIC), in collaboration with the University of Córdoba and the Maimonides Biomedical Research Institute of Córdoba, where I am presently working on my doctoral thesis. I graduated in Nursing from the University of Córdoba where I also completed a Master’s Degree in Research Methodology of Health Sciences.

I have worked as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing at the University of Córdoba, teaching on several modules of the undergraduate nursing degree. I am currently writing my PhD thesis ‘Shared interprofessional decision taking regarding elderly people’s choice to change or remain in their home’. The work takes in the perspectives, experiences and opinions of various groups of the population on this decision, with an end to improving social health and family care for elderly people in our community. In addition, I am a member of the research team for a project financed by the State RDI Programme Aimed at Society’s Challenges “Social Legitimacy of Pain. A key element of its social dimension”, within the “Social Identity, Subjective Welfare and Behaviour” research group.
