Paula Espinosa Soriano

INNOVACIÓN – Sociology of innovation

Beneficiary of a predoctoral scholarship at IESA – CSIC in collaboration with the Cordoba University since September 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Pablo de Olavide University and Master’s degree in Labour Sciences from Seville University.

Her research line is related to the sociology of innovation and sociology of science. Specifically, she is interested in the institutional mechanisms that influence the Spanish innovation and science system. Currently, she is developing her doctoral activity following as a framework of analysis the approach of national innovation systems and the institutional quality approach. 

In addition to her research activity, she’s also a professor at the University of Cordoba in the area of “Statistics, Econometrics and Operations Research”.

Her research line is related to the sociology of innovation and sociology of science. Specially, her PhD thesis aims to understand the determining factors that influence the institutional quality of R&D institutions and Higher Education institutions.
