Victoria García-Pelayo has occupied the post of Managing Director at the Institute for Advanced Social Studies since 2009. She graduated in Law from the University of Extremadura and is part of the Corps of State Civil Administration Management.
The principal duties of the post involve:
-Economic and budget management, procurement of external services and works, and the preparation and management of the annual operating budget;
– The Institute’s Administrative Services;
-The supervision of staff, in terms of administrative matters, and the supervision of the entirety of all units of administrative services;
-Management of the Institute’s patrimony, including overseeing the adequate use of shared facilities;
-Internal systems;
-Maintenance and general services;
-Management of finances and staff for research projects and contracts without any prejudice to the competences reserved for those in charge of the supervision of research projects;
-Secretary of the Institute’s Board.
